Aryna Sabalenka and Nick Kyrgios are about to turn up the heat in Dubai with the two tennis powerhouses facing off in a “Battle of the Sexes” exhibition match.

TLive, a sports and entertainment company, announced the showdown will hit the Coca-Cola Arena on December 28.

It’s the company’s first big event in the Middle East, and Sabalenka, a four-time Grand Slam champion, is ready to show what the women’s game can bring to the court.

The “Battle of the Sexes” series has a colourful history, kicking off in 1973 with only three official exhibitions.

The last one was in 1992 when Martina Navratilova went head-to-head with Jimmy Connors. Of course, the most legendary clash remains Billie Jean King’s victory over Bobby Riggs in 1973.

The game was watched by 90 million people around the world.

Now, more than four decades later, Sabalenka and Kyrgios will try to revive that energy and see if this new chapter can outshine the original.
