Sagicor Bank Jamaica has launched a campaign, complete with a one-stop mortgage boutique experience, aimed at revolutionising residential mortgages with a focus on sustainability.
This eco-friendly venture seeks to facilitate homeownership for Jamaicans while actively promoting personalised environmental responsibility as a pivotal component of its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy.
Clinton Hunter, assistant vice-president of retail banking at Sagicor Bank, emphasised the institution’s dual commitment. He said, “The campaign and the mortgage boutique are integral parts of our broader mission to foster eco-friendly homeownership among Jamaicans.”
“The process of homeownership can be daunting for many, and we aspire to simplify this journey and enhance convenience by offering an all-in-one solution under a single roof,” he continued.

As part of this initiative, aspiring homeowners who choose to apply for their mortgages at the boutiques, exclusively available on Saturdays, will enjoy exclusive mortgage benefits, including competitive interest rates and discounts on commitment fees. This translates to more accessible homeownership opportunities. Additionally, Sagicor Bank’s team will be readily available to facilitate mortgage pre-qualification on-site, subject to a thorough review of the application.
Hunter elaborated, “This offering is an enhancement of our already robust mortgage solutions, which include a line of credit of up to J$2 million, special rates on home insurance, and cashback offers of up to J$100,000, designed to assist with expenses such as valuation, surveyor’s reports, and other incidentals.”
In an exciting twist, applicants who successfully secure their mortgages during the mortgage boutique events stand a chance to win coveted prizes, including patio sets, living room sets, or an inverter air-conditioning unit with free installation.

This strategic initiative coincides with Sagicor Bank’s recent participation in the National Housing Trust’s (NHT) External Financing Mortgage Programme (EFMP), making it even more timely and impactful.
The mortgage boutique initiative boasts an impressive line-up of partners, including the real estate and general insurance segments of the Sagicor Group, Sagicor Property Services, and Advantage General Insurance Company, alongside prominent organisations such as Best Buds Limited, 360 Recycle, Recycling Partners of Jamaica, Sherwin Williams Limited, Konnex Limited, EverGo Limited, and Carlisa Enterprises Limited.
