
Tania Waldron-Gooden resigns, effective April 30

Caribbean Assurance Brokers Limited is advising of the resignation of its chief executive officer, Tania Waldron-Gooden, effective April 30 this year.
As a result, the search is now on for her replacement.
In confirming the resignation, the board of Caribbean Assurance Brokers thanked Waldron-Gooden for what it said was her stellar stewardship and wished her all the best in her future endeavours.
Waldron-Gooden was appointed CEO on January 1 last year, bringing to the organisation 14 years of experience in areas such as investment banking, research, new product development, pension fund, and portfolio management.
MENTOR TO VARIOUS COMPANIES
Waldron-Gooden was previously the director-investment banking and executive director at Mayberry Investments. She is the mentor and director of Main Event Entertainment Group, Express Catering and the mentor for Derrimon Trading Company and Caribbean Flavours & Fragrances Limited.
She is also a director of Chicken Mistress Limited and Island Grill Holdings Limited.
As the mentor to various companies, she has been responsible for providing the board with support in establishing proper procedures, systems and controls for its compliance with the Jamaica Stock Exchange rule requirements for financial reporting, good corporate governance, and the making of timely announcements.
Waldron-Gooden holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of the West Indies. She also holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Sunderland in the United Kingdom.
