It’s been six years since Barbados-born pop singer-turned-beauty mogul Rihanna released her most recent album, ANTI.

ANTI is the singer’s eighth album and was released on January 28, 2016, through Westbury Road and Roc Nation.

At the time of the album’s debut, it hit #1 on the Billboard 200 album chart, achieved more than 15 billion streams worldwide and sold more than 11 million copies globally.

In addition, the album received 32.5 million in sales for the Caribbean-infused single, Work, 17+ million for Needed Me, 15 million for Love on the Brain, more than 5.5 million units moved of Kiss It Better and 4.5 million for Sex With Me.

While lamenting that the Desperado hitmaker has yet to release a new album since, Rihanna fans worldwide today (January 28) took to Twitter in recognition of the album’s ANTIversary.

More than half a decade old, Rihanna’s ANTI album has over the years continued to make its mark on international music charts.

Just last year the album was recognised for making Billboard 200 history when it became the first album by a black female artiste to spend five years on the Billboard 200 charts.

At the time, the Love On The Brain singer who was no doubt in high spirits, responded to one fan’s comment to “celebrate by releasing a song” stating “I think I should” followed by a “soon” emoji.

Though no new music has been forthcoming from the artiste thus far, in an interview ahead of the taping of her ‘Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 3’ event which aired on Amazon Prime video last September, Rihanna explained that for her upcoming album she’s taken some time to “experiment” in order to produce something different and unexpected.

While ‘RiRi’ fans continue to eagerly await her return to music, here’s a list of Rihanna’s non-music accomplishments since ANTI‘s release in 2016:

1. Started a Beauty Empire

On September 8, 2017, Rihanna launched her cosmetics brand Fenty Beauty with a focus on providing the best of the best in beauty and making it accessible for all skin tones and types.

2. Launched a Lingerie Brand

On May 11, 2018, Rihanna founded her lingerie brand Savage X Fenty with a focus on providing confidence and inclusivity, designed for all genders, sizes, and backgrounds.
