Snap Inc., the parent company of popular social media platform Snapchat, has announced today (July 10) a new partnership with the link-in-bio tool Linktree, enabling users to showcase their work and other profiles directly on the Snapchat platform.

This integration comes after Snapchat’s delayed decision to allow links in the profiles of creators, previously limited to brands and Snap Stars. The collaboration, initially announced in April, now permits any user with a public profile to include links to their Linktree profile.

To include their Linktree URL, Snapchat users can navigate to their public profile, select “edit,” and choose the “Website or Linktree” option. This update not only enables users to include any URL of their choice but also provides increased visibility for Snapchat profiles on Linktree’s service.

Moreover, creators can utilize the link-in-bio tool to showcase their Snapchat profiles on their Linktree page using a social icon and a button inviting visitors to “Add me on Snapchat” or any customized phrase. As part of this collaboration, Linktree will also be featured in Snapchat’s default share sheet.

In addition to the integration, Linktree is offering a three-month trial of Linktree Pro, which includes premium features such as email and phone number collection, embedding the latest tweets and YouTube videos, and NFT lock capabilities.

Linktree, determined to establish itself as a premier link-in-bio tool for creators, is actively integrating more payment services and social media platforms.

Last year, the Australia-based company collaborated with TikTok for its Profile Kit. In January, Linktree introduced the “Buy me a Gift” option for creators, and just last month, it acquired Bento, a link-in-bio company backed by Sequoia, although Linktree has not disclosed its specific plans for the product.
