Spur Tree Spices Jamaica Limited is now focused on catering to the growing demands of the diaspora market with the introduction of its dry-seasoning rubs.
In addition to its rebranding and expansion efforts, Spur Tree Spices has identified opportunities with dry-seasoning rubs to address key flavour gaps in the diaspora market.
Spur Tree Spices CEO Albert Bailey explained: “Expanding on the progress achieved in 2022 and 2023 to strengthen our productive capacity and introduce new product lines, we are strategically positioned to capture a larger market share in the seasoning sector. Our approach has been guided by data-driven research and insights, shaping our market product entry, which has significantly contributed to our success and return on investment.”

Dry rubs create a flavourful crust on meats, ideal for high-heat searing and slow cooking, while wet rubs excel in low-and-slow methods, resulting in tender, succulent dishes.
Bailey added: “Our journey is driven by a commitment to excellence and a passion for sharing the vibrant tastes of Jamaica with consumers worldwide. Through our expanded product portfolio and strategic partnerships, we are poised to make a significant impact in the local and international market and strengthen Spur Tree’s position as a global manufacturer of Jamaican food products.”
