
St Mary’s High girls and Titchfield High boys are champions of the Eastern Athletics Championships that was concluded on Friday (March 7) at the Stadium East facility in St Andrew.
St Mary’s High amassed 382 points and won by a whopping 119.5 points ahead of second placed Titchfield High on 263 with Marymount High in third spot on 191.50. Oberlin High with 177 and Port Antonio High with 175.5 were fourth and fifth, respectively.
In the boys’ section, Titchfield High emerged champions with 317 points ahead of St Mary’s High with 245.5. Oberlin High were third with 187.5, St Mary’s College were fourth with 10.5, and Port Antonio with 135 points completed the top five.
St Mary’s High are the combined champion with 626 points ahead of Titchfield High with 580. Oberlin High are third overall with 364.5 ahead of Port Antonio High with 311, while Morant Bay High finished fifth with 222.5 points.
These schools will now continue preparing for the ISSA Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championship set for March 25-29.
