Jamaican content creator, actor, and host Swiiss Lee was among the recipients awarded the ‘U.S Best Creator Award’ at the Tiktok Live Fest U.S in Los Angeles.
LIVE Fest is a global event spanning more than 50 countries and regions that recognises and celebrates top creators. Throughout the event, creators have the opportunity to collect rewards for going LIVE, connecting with other creators, and sharing their creativity with a global audience.
In a post on his social media, Lee, whose real name is Rogay Clarke, shared that he was the only Jamaican present at the event. However, he did not leave empty-handed, walking away with an award for being among the top six creators who participated in the contest.
“Team bless, thanks for everything you guys [have] done for me. More blessings, many more to come. Thank you, Lord,” he captioned a video showing his award, adding the bible scripture Psalms 91.
According to a release by TikTok, the contest took place from December 1 -16, 2023, with each talent accruing points based on support from their communities during their live streams. The top 30 were selected as winners. They receive airfare, hotel, and travel expenses to appear at the awards ceremony, along with other prizes.
Swiiss Lee saw a massive jump in his popularity last year when he started to host TikTok live streams, engaging with his fans and other creators on the platform. The Jamaican, who currently resides in the United States, currently has more than 390,000 followers on TikTok, whom he refers to as ‘Team Bless’.
Dubbed a resilient content creator by fans, he overcame poverty through the power of TikTok, the unwavering support of friends, and his unyielding faith in God, transforming his life for the better. His success on the platform has touched the hearts of many who congratulated him on his award.
