A man who was seen in a viral video over the weekend throwing stones at a Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) bus is being asked to turn himself in to the nearest police station.

He is wanted by the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch (PSTEB).

The man who is said to be a taxi operator is being sought by the police for maliciously vandalising government property.

Transport Minister Daryl Vaz in a update on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, said the man who is known as ‘Mr White’ has been identified and the vehicle he was driving had also been identified. He urged individuals who known White to advise him to visit the nearest police station.

In the video that has now gone viral on social media, the man was seen throwing stones at the driver section of the JUTC bus after which he used his vehicle to block the bus.

Passengers inside the bus could be heard condemning the act, with one passenger shouting, “You fi get catch.” The extent of the damage to the JUTC bus is not known.
