Renowned media personality, professional event host and your Jamaican girl, Dr Terri-Karelle Reid, is officially off the market.

During the official launch of her first book, My Brand Compass, held on Saturday (May 28), Reid disclosed that her romantic partner, popped the big question while the pair were on vacation last month, to which she responded ‘yes’.

Prodded by the event’s host, Khadine ‘Miss Kitty’ Hylton, who noted that Reid’s finger was looking particularly “heavy” given the ring’s many “carats”, Reid shared the “scoop” of how she became engaged.

Media personality, Dr Terri-Karelle believes her season is here following the official launch of her first book and the announcement that she is newly engaged.

“So I mentioned the mini-vacation which we were on, so what made this year very different, is that I celebrated my 40th birthday, then I celebrated the announcement of my book on the very same day and then I became engaged,” stated Reid.

She added: “Over the weeks everyone has said, ‘Boy, Terri, yuh finga and I just go la da dee’, you know. I ignore, but I’m happy to announce it, especially to this group…(because) it felt right.”

She noted that “there was no video, or pomp and pageantry because you guys know how we are. It was just a nice little dinner and then he got down on his knees… and I said ‘absolutely, yes’.”

The newly minted author informed attendees that this is a new chapter of her life and that she believes her season is here.

Without identifying him by name, Reid expressed her appreciation for her partner who she said played an integral role in keeping her accountable during the writing of her book.

“I’ve always said it’s important for us, especially if we are go-getters and we’re women who are confident and know what we want, it is important to align and get that partner who is not afraid of your fire but is willing to fan that flame,” she shared.
