‘Tings looking up!’: Red Stripe takes over Papine

Money machine, music and beer vibes! The heart of Papine came alive on February 25 as the world’s coolest beer, Red Stripe, ‘Tings Looking Up’ promotion took centre stage, giving passers-by the chance to win their share of a whopping J$14 million in cash and prizes.

Coinciding with the national celebration of Jamaica Day 2025, Jamaicans turned out in their black, green, and gold, proudly embracing their culture while Red Stripe, Malta, and Dragon Stout ensured the vibes did ‘tun up’!

“We are excited to see Jamaicans come out and celebrate the island in their black, green, and gold, paying homage to our heritage on Jamaica Day,” said Arnaldo Martin, junior brand manager for Red Stripe. ” Red Stripe has launched the Tings Looking Up campaign on this special day, celebrating the brand’s enduring presence in Jamaica.

“After all these years, Red Stripe remains a part of the Jamaican experience, continuing to evolve and bring people together. We wanted to give back to help alleviate the financial stress of the first quarter that comes with the spending done within the holiday season. We are proud to not only offer such opportunities to win big but to also host meaningful community events for all to enjoy,” he added.

Red Stripe’s ‘Tings Looking Up’ promotion gave consumers an exciting chance to win big, igniting enthusiasm and participation. Those who purchased four qualifying brews—Red Stripe, Red Stripe Light, Red Stripe Flavours, Dragon Stout, Dragon Spitfire, or Malta—gained instant entry into exciting giveaways.

Shoppers who doubled their purchases to eight got the chance to step into the highly anticipated money machine, grabbing cash and prizes in a fast-paced, thrilling challenge.

As music filled the air and the crowd cheered on participants in the money machine, it was clear that the spirit of Jamaica was alive and well in Papine.

“These events allow us to connect with our consumers in a meaningful way,” Martin continued. “It’s about bringing people together, creating lasting memories, and spreading positivity. Red Stripe has always been part of Jamaica’s culture, and this initiative is another way for us to give back while celebrating the energy and resilience of our people.”

The Tings Looking Up promotion continues islandwide, running from February 5 to April 6.

Consumers who continue to purchase qualifying brews have the opportunity to win J$10,000 in cash, supermarket vouchers, and JPS vouchers.

“When brands like Red Stripe do things like this, it makes me happy to know that people care to give back and give us opportunities because the truth is, tings nuh easy,” expressed Chef Trevaun Calbert. “It was a fun little experience. I was the first person to try the money machine after I bought some Red Stripe and Dragon, and I ended up winning a gas voucher.”
