
The threat of Tropical Storm Rafael caused the postponement of the Wray and Nephew Jamaican Premier League’s Monday night games.
The affected games were Vere United FC versus Mount Pleasant FA and Waterhouse FC versus Montego Bay United FC.
Meanwhile, Portmore United surged to the top of the league following their 4-0 hammering of Molynes United at the Ferdi Neita Park.
Goals from Junior Grizelle (39th), Javier Brown (65th), Romeo Guthrie (77th), and Omar Reid (84th) propelled Portmore United to their fifth win from eight games. As such, the club opened up a two-point gap atop the league with 16 points.
At the other end of the spectrum, the hapless Molynes United are bottom of the 14-team league on four points from their eight games.
Harbour View whips Racing United
Former champions Harbour View spanked new boys Racing United 3-1 at the Stadium East and climbed into the top half in seventh spot on 10 points.
Andre Fagan notched a double, scoring in the third and 18th minutes, while Rohan Brown put the icing on the cake by netting in the 90+3. An own goal by Casseam Priestley in the 71st minute gave Racing United a glimmer of hope.

The promoted boys from Caymanas Park remained second from bottom in 13th position with five points.
Tivoli Gardens draw with Cavalier SC
Tivoli Gardens inched to six points in 12th spot with a 1-1 draw with Cavalier SC in the second match at Stadium East.
Anthony Nelson gave Tivoli Gardens a 41st-minute lead but Shaquille Stein earned a share of the points by netting in minute 78 for Cavalier, who remains in the fourth spot on 12 points.
Humble Lion bow to Arnett Gardens
Former champions Arnett Gardens humbled Humble Lion 2-1 and consolidated the fifth spot on 11 points from seven games. Warner Brown opened the scoring in the 24th minute while Shai Smith doubled the advantage in minute 32.
Afiba Chambers responded for Humble Lion in the 89th minute as they stayed in 10th spot on eight points from eight games and with some work to do.
Dunbeholden defeat Chapelton Maroons
At Dunbeholden Sports Complex, home team Dunbeholden continued their recent good form blanking Chapelton Maroons 2-0 for their third-consecutive win to be in eighth spot on nine points. Ricardo Thomas (44th) and Nakeel Wright (90+3) secured the goals. Chapelton Maroon are 11th with seven points.
