Peacock has released the official trailer for its upcoming Monk follow-up film, Mr Monk’s Last Case: A Monk Movie.

Set to premiere on December 8, Tony Shalhoub, Ted Levine, Traylor Howard, Jason Gray-Stanford, Melora Hardin and Héctor Elizondo, are all set to reprise their roles from the series.

The Monk TV series was a mystery comedy-drama created by Andy Breckman and starring Tony Shalhoub as Adrian Monk that originally ran from 2002 to 2009.

The trailer gives fans a peak at how the world has matured, such as with monk’s then-erratic behaviour such as excessive cleaning has become somewhat normalised since the COVID-19 pandemic. In the movie, Monk returns to solve one last case involving his stepdaughter Molly, a journalist like her late mother who is preparing for her wedding.
