Cricket West Indies has named the West Indies Women’s ODI squad to host Sri Lanka in a three-match series from February 20 to 25 at the National Cricket Stadium in St George’s, Grenada.
The series is a key step as the team pushes to climb the ICC Women’s Championship rankings ahead of later ODIs against Australia, Ireland, Zimbabwe, and Pakistan.
Hayley Matthews returns as captain after recovering from a shoulder injury that sidelined her during the Women’s Caribbean Premier League last year. She will be supported by newly appointed vice captain Chinelle Henry, whose consistent performances at home and in global franchise leagues have earned her the leadership role. The squad also welcomes back all-rounder Deandra Dottin, who missed much of 2025 due to injury, including the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifiers and series in England and against South Africa at home.

Ranked 9th in ODIs, the West Indies will face the 6th-ranked Sri Lanka side, relying on a squad strengthened by two high-performance camps in Antigua last year and a specialised training program at the Super Kings Academy in Chennai, India, to prepare for the challenges ahead.
