Serena Williams and Venus Williams are set to reunite on the Wimbledon grass after being handed a wildcard entry for the women’s doubles at this year’s Championships, which begin on June 29th.

The sisters, who have won the doubles title at SW19 six times together, will not feature in the singles draw after organisers confirmed the wildcard list, though one place is still to be decided.

Serena, 44, recently returned to competitive action at Queen’s Club after a long break, before continuing her comeback in Berlin, where she and partner Karolina Muchova fell 6-4, 6-4 to Giuliana Olmos and Erin Routliffe.

Venus, 45, has struggled for singles wins this season but did pick up a doubles victory alongside Britain’s Katie Boulter at the Madrid Open in April.
