
A group of women and one male who attacked a 14-year-old girl in Clarendon last month have been officially charged with unlawful wounding and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The women are 52-year-old Pauline Hughes of Woodside district, 36-year-old Shayanne Williams, and 22-year-old Amanda Anderson, both of Havannah district in Clarendon. Their co-accused are three females aged 15, 16, and 17, and a 17-year-old male.
The adults charged are to appear in court on Thursday, January 11.
Reports from the May Pen police are that the incident, which has gone viral on social media, took place on December 30, 2023, on Holland Street in Denbigh, Clarendon.

The 14-year-old girl was reportedly ambushed by the group and beaten unconscious. She was later admitted to hospital in serious condition for treatment. She has since been released.
The women charged were taken into custody on January 2. The male was arrested on January 3.
