Construction work continues apace on the J$5.7-billion, 250-room Western Adolescent and Paediatric Hospital in St James.
The team is now on the second floor of the six-storey facility.
Construction, which began in 2019, was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic but was restarted this past June.
Funding for this vital project is provided by both the Government of Jamaica and the People’s Republic of China.
Speaking on the new hospital earlier this year, Dr Christopher Tufton, minister of health and wellness, said: “This investment in Spanish Town will be one of the largest investments that will be made in health facilities in the history of this country.”
