Joshua “YG” Marley, the son of Lauryn Hill and Rohan Marley, is making waves in the United Kingdom as his first official track ‘Praise Jah In The Moonlight‘ is now certified silver by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).
Three months after its release, ‘Praise Jah‘ has been gaining traction from a live performance on his mother’s tour late last year after patrons thought he sounded eerily like his late grandfather, reggae icon Bob Marley.
Described as a reggae love song with God at the centre, Praise Jah In The Moonlight continues to take the world and social media by storm.

YG is stamping his name among the other Marley crooners, notably Skip Marley, Junior ‘Gong’ Marley, Ziggy Marley, and the recent Grammy Award-winner, Julian Marley.
The writing, the cadence and the magical marriage between melody and the ‘Marley voice’ seem to be a proven recipe for success in the reggae sphere.
The song has garnered over 169 million worldwide streams on Spotify alone.
