GRAMMY®-winning, multi-platinum artiste, producer and multi-instrumentalist Skip Marley has unveiled the official video for his latest single, In Our Sight, released through Tuff Gong International/Def Jam Recordings.

Filmed in Jamaica, the video presents a sweeping visual companion to the motivational anthem, which has been steadily climbing reggae playlists since its August debut. The project was directed by Aka.Ruppi, known for his work with Masicka and Shenseea and premiered on Marley’s YouTube channel.

“In this video, I want people to take strength,” Skip explained. “I want you to feel not defeated. I want you to feel like all things is possible through the powers of the Most High.”

The visuals reflect that mission, casting Skip as a leader rallying spiritual “soldiers” in a call to unity, echoing the legacy of his grandfather, reggae icon Bob Marley.

Produced by Supa Dups of Black Chiney Sound, In Our Sight pairs Skip’s lilting delivery with a roots-driven sound. The track builds on a classic reggae foundation with familiar nods to musical history. Listeners will recognise the guitar intro first heard on Al Green’s Love and Happiness, later immortalised in Jamaican music on the “Westbound Train” riddim by Dennis Brown, Jacob Miller, and others.

The single also incorporates a brass line from The Abyssinians’ Satta Massagana, one of roots reggae’s most enduring anthems.

“When Skip arrived at studio that day, he instantly connected with the music and wrote the song,” said Def Jam SVP of A&R, Kardinal Offishall. “Skip Marley singing over a foundation D Brown sample makes it every true reggae lover’s dream, bringing the generations together in a 2025 style.”

Since its release, In Our Sight has gained traction on major streaming platforms and was spotlighted by Billboard in its Reggae/Dancehall Fresh Picks of the Month. Daily Reggae named it Song of the Week, while Apple Music’s Ebro Darden lauded the track’s message during Skip’s live performance on The Ebro Show in Los Angeles.

“It’s so important what you’re saying in the song, and stepping into that calling,” Darden told him.

The single follows Skip’s Close (Remix) featuring dancehall hitmakers Masicka and Ding Dong, which has drawn nearly half a million streams and over 400,000 YouTube views. That track earned international coverage from outlets including VIBE, Global Grind, and Kaboom Magazine, while the original Close was hailed by Cosmopolitan, BET, and American Songwriter.

Close also picked up a 2025 NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding International Song.

As grandson to Bob and Rita Marley and son of Cedella Marley, Skip continues to fuse his family’s roots reggae foundation with contemporary influences. With In Our Sight, he channels themes of hope, resilience, and unity into what critics have called one of his most powerful singles to date.

“Don’t be discouraged! Don’t be dismayed! Victory’s in our sight,” Skip urges on the track a message that feels as much a rallying cry as it is a continuation of the Marley tradition.
