The typical soca party in Jamaica suffers from the issue of constantly repeating the same overplayed and outdated songs with the majority of the DJs’ selection usually ranging from the early 2000s to the mid-2010s.

Our Today asked some diehard fans from across the Caribbean for their opinions on some of the best soca songs from the 2020s.

Soca isn’t just one sound, each island and culture has its own spins and influences on the genre that it has added over the years and which has led to many varying preferences.
