Saint Lucia’s high jump star Levern Spencer has added another proud moment to her career, receiving the Black Excellence Award for Outstanding Sportsmanship at a ceremony in Atlanta, Georgia. The honour was presented by Saint Lucia’s Consul General, Darrel Montrope, during the annual Black Excellence Awards hosted by African Awards USA at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis.

The event brought together members of the diaspora to celebrate achievement and leadership, with Spencer standing out for both her success on the track and her character off it. Over the years, she has built a reputation not only as a top athlete but also as a positive influence for young people.
