Minister of Justice Delroy Chuck has shared a statement on the passing of late Chief Justice Lensley Wolfe. The statement may be seen below:
It is with great sadness that I learnt of the passing of retired Chief Justice Lensley Wolfe.
Chief Justice Wolfe was a highly respected jurist who dedicated his life to the pursuit of justice and the rule of law. He served as Chief Justice of Jamaica from 1996 to 2007, during which time he presided over some of the most important and complex cases in the country’s history.
Throughout his long and distinguished career, Chief Justice Wolfe was known for his unwavering commitment to fairness, impartiality, and the rights of all Jamaicans. He was a champion of justice who worked tirelessly to ensure that everyone, regardless of their background, had access to a fair and just legal system.
