The music fraternity is in mourning following news that Diana King’s daughter, Shalamar Diana Wright, has died.
King confirmed her daughter’s death in a social media post on Thursday (August 5).
“”Fly free my luv,” wrote King on social media.
“I will forever miss you Spoog. Gratitude for choosing me and blessing me with your beautiful soul,” added King in the post.
Following King’s post, several members of the music fraternity have come to the singer’s comfort, sharing messages of condolences, as well as, encouraging her to be strong.
“My condolences,” said dancehall artiste Tifa, who included a heart emoji.
“So sorry for your loss, ” added singer Tessanne Chin.
While King’s daughter had remained out of the public spotlight throughout her life, the 33-year-old made headlines in 2016 after she was arrested in Broward county, Florida for possession of cocaine.
