The latest James Bond film, No Time to Die, has made Jamaica a hotspot for tourism.

Delano Seivewright, chief strategist and adviser in the Ministry of Tourism, has shared that the island has been benefiting from the recently released film.

Port Antonio, where a large part of the movie took place, has been receiving notable publicity, Seivewright indicated as he noted that this publicity is almost impossible to calculate in monetary terms.

Seivewright also highlighted how tourism in the country has improved despite the pandemic, with Jamaica growing to be a preferred destination and hosting significant stars in Hanover and Port Antonio.

Jamaica’s tourism product was further enhanced by the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) downgrading the island from a COVID-19 Level Four threat to Level Three.

The success Jamaica has experienced in the tourism sector has also been recognised by different travel awards programmes.
