October 2023 is shaping up to be a great month for video game fans, with a wide variety of new titles set to be released.

This month we have seven heavy hitters, all returns of known classics

Assassin’s Creed Mirage

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a return to the roots of Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed franchise, with a focus on stealth, parkour, and assassination. The game is set in 9th-century Baghdad and follows the story of Basim Ibn Ishaq, a cunning street thief seeking answers and justice.

Mirage will reportedly be a smaller and more focused game than recent Assassin’s Creed entries, with a shorter runtime and a more linear story.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S

Lords of the Fallen

Lords of the Fallen, created by Hexworks, is a dark and challenging action role-playing game set in a world where the gods have abandoned humanity.

The game features a variety of classes and weapons to choose from, as well as a vast and unforgiving world to explore. Players will need to use all of their skills and resources to survive in this harsh world and uncover its secrets.

Lords of the Fallen will be available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S

Lords of the Fallen releases on October 13.

Sonic Superstars

Sonic Superstars is a new 2D Sonic platformer that takes players on an adventure across the mystical Northstar Islands.

The game features a variety of new levels and enemies, as well as new gameplay mechanics, such as the ability to team up with other players online that captures the spirit of Sega’s classic Sonic games.

Sonic Superstars will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch

Sonic Superstars releases on October 17.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed Marvel’s Spider-Man created by Insomniac Games.

The game features both Peter Parker and Miles Morales as playable characters, and they’ll need to team up to face a new threat.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be available on PS5.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is a new Super Mario game that celebrates the franchise’s 35th anniversary.

The game features a mix of classic and new elements, such as new power-ups and enemies.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder will be available on Nintendo Switch.

The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria

The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is a first-person survival horror game by Free Range Games set in the depths of Moria, the legendary Dwarven underground city.

Players will explore the ruins of Moria, fight off deadly creatures, and uncover its secrets.

The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria will be available on PC.

The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria releases on October 27.

Alan Wake 2

Alan Wake 2 is the long-awaited sequel to the cult-classic psychological horror game Alan Wake by Remedy Entertainment.

The game follows Alan as he ventures into the Dark Place, a nightmarish realm where his thoughts and fears come to life.

Alan Wake 2 will be available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S

Alan Wake 2 releases on October 27.
