A total of 95 Jamaicans have been killed on the nation’s roadways up to Tuesday (March 26), according to the latest road fatality report.
According to the Road Safety Unit (RSU) the deaths resulted from 84 fatal collisions over the period.
Still, the RSU is reporting an eight per cent decline in road fatalities when compared to the same period last year.
Motorcyclists, pedestrians and private motor vehicle drivers accounted for the highest number of road fatalities to date.
The parishes of Trelawny, St James, Hanover and Westmoreland accounted for the highest number of road fatalities.
The RSU is reiterating its calling on all road users to change their behaviour when traversing the roadways.
