
Police are probing the circumstances surrounding the death of Edwin Ellis, otherwise known as ‘Mass Jack,’ whose body was found in a tank two days after he went missing in the Lesterfield district of north-west Clarendon.
The deceased is a 76-year-old resident of the Minor District, near Sanguinetti, in Clarendon.
A police report said Ellis, who was reportedly suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, went missing on Saturday at about 8:30 pm. Two days later, on Monday, at about 8:30 am, Ellis’s body was found in a tank in the Lesterfield district.
The fire department was called in to remove the body.
The police are awaiting a post-mortem to determine the cause of death.
