

The JN Group has joined the global fight against breast cancer through its annual “Power of Pink” campaign, launched this month under the theme ‘Take the Brave Steps in the Fight Against Cancer’.
The initiative unites JN’s member companies in a collective effort to promote awareness, early detection, and support for individuals and families affected by breast cancer across Jamaica. As part of the campaign, JN Bank, JN Life Insurance, and JN Money Services will collaborate to deliver meaningful initiatives aimed at empowering Jamaicans to take charge of their health.
On October 17, JN Group will underwrite the cost of 150 mammograms at the Jamaica Cancer Society, encouraging women to prioritise early detection and regular screening. In addition, JN Life Insurance is offering a $5,000 gift certificate to anyone who takes out a Critical Illness Insurance policy during October, reinforcing the importance of financial preparedness in managing serious illnesses.
Meanwhile, JN Money will match every overseas donation of US$1, CA$1, or £1 with J$1, with all proceeds directed towards breast cancer research in Jamaica.
The Group noted that the campaign goes beyond donations and promotions, emphasising hope, unity, and gratitude as central to its message. Through its Power of Pink webpage, JN is inviting members of the public to share messages of encouragement and remembrance on its virtual Gratitude Wall, while learning more about how the organisation continues to support the cause.
“Breast cancer has affected the lives of too many families in Jamaica and around the world,” the Group stated. “At JN, we believe that every step counts, whether it’s early detection, prevention, or support for those bravely battling the disease.”
The JN Group reaffirmed its commitment to empowering Jamaicans through awareness, compassion, and tangible action during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, adding that together, citizens can make a difference in the fight against cancer.
