
Jamaica College (JC) and Edwin Allen girls emerged champions of The ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls Athletics Championship in convincing fashion at the National Stadium on Saturday (March 28).
JC amassed 345 points after 42 finals and were 63 points ahead of second-placed Kingston College on 282. Calabar High finished in third spot on 169.33, holding off St Jago High in fourth with 121.83. Wolmer’s Boys rounded out the top five with 105 points.
The top 10 is completed by Excelsior High (78), Edwin Allen Boys (72), Munro College (58), St Elizabeth Technical High School (51) and William Knibb Memorial (44).
It was JC’s first win since 2021, ending KC’s four-year reign while achieving their 23rd lien on the Mortimer Geddes trophy, which they first won 115 years ago in 1911.

Meanwhile, Edwin Allen Girls regain the trophy, having last won in 2024 and have now won 11 times, the first of which was in 2012.
Edwin Allen raced to 338.5 points and was 79 points behind the dethroned champions Hydel High on 259.5 points. Former champions Holmwood Technical High are third with 167, Immaculate Conception grabbed fourth with 110 and St Jago were fifth on 91 points.
There were some outstanding performances, including world-leading times by Shanoya Douglas of Holland High, who clocked 10.98 seconds in the Class One 100m, which is the best in the world, including senior athletes. Her record-breaking 22.26s for the 200m puts her second in the world behind Adaejah Hodge’s 22.22s set on March 14, 2026.
There were 12 records, of which Kenya’s Julius Itubo of KC had two in the Class Three 800m and 1500m and stole the show. Below is the list of records:
