Capleton and family recovering after minor injuries sustained in car crash

Reggae and dancehall artiste Capleton and his family escaped major injury in a motor vehicle crash that took place today (August 9).

It is reported that the deejay was traveling from an event in St Thomas at 5 am when he crashed and overturned his vehicle in the community of Llandewey.

Luckily, the Jah Jah City artiste and his family members sustained minor injuries and are currently at home resting.

It was reported by his manager Claudette Kemp that the vehicle was carrying the entertainer’s brother, nephew and cousins who also had minor injuries from the crash.

After being rushed to Andrews Memorial Hospital they were treated and sent home. 

Capleton, whose real name is Clifton George Bailey, the third was on his way from a charity event where he performed alongside fellow musician Sizzla.

The music icon has released more than 20 albums and is one of dancehall’s elder statesmen. Some of his album releases include Control your Tempo and Burn Up the Street.
