Tottenham Hotspur are not planning a move for Marseille striker Mason Greenwood in this transfer window, despite ongoing speculation around his future in France.
Marseille are understood to be open to selling the 24-year-old as they look to ease financial pressure, with reports suggesting a price tag of around €50 million. Roma have explored a deal but are yet to meet the French club’s valuation, while Manchester United are still due a 40 per cent cut of any future sale.
Spurs had been loosely linked due to their head coach Roberto De Zerbi’s previous working relationship with Greenwood, but the club are not expected to enter the race.
A return to English football remains uncertain, with interest from Premier League sides appearing limited following the controversy surrounding his earlier career at Manchester United. Greenwood, who has since rebuilt his career in Spain and France, moved to Marseille permanently after a loan spell at Getafe.
