The Jamaica National Agency for Accreditation (JANAAC), trading as JANAAC Global Accreditation, announces the appointment of Ms. Cassetta Green as Acting Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2026. 

Her appointment is intended to provide strong leadership continuity at a pivotal stage in the Agency’s development and to support the successful delivery of JANAAC’s mandate, strategic objectives and regional accreditation agenda.

In this role,  Green will lead JANAAC’s ongoing work to strengthen the quality infrastructure in Jamaica and the Caribbean, advance internationally recognised accreditation services, support trade facilitation, and deepen stakeholder confidence in the quality and integrity of goods and services. 

As the only internationally recognised accreditation body in the English-speaking Caribbean, JANAAC plays a critical role in enabling conformity assessment bodies, including laboratories, inspection bodies and certification bodies to meet international standards and enable market access for exports across the region.

 Green brings two decades of distinguished public sector experience, including 15 years in senior leadership roles and six years in the accreditation industry. Since September 2019, she has served as JANAAC’s Director, Strategic Planning, Business Development and Promotions, where she led targeted business development and promotional initiatives that contributed to JANAAC’s expanded footprint in the Caribbean and supported the strengthening of quality infrastructure systems.

She also serves on national, regional and international committees focused on accreditation, trade and quality-related matters, positioning her to guide the Agency’s continued engagement with key partners and stakeholders. Her leadership is expected to support JANAAC’s focus on service excellence, regional expansion, strategic performance and the continued alignment of accreditation services with Jamaica’s economic growth, export development and quality infrastructure priorities.

The appointment follows the demission of office by Dr. Yvette Castell, effective June 26, 2026, having served in the role since October 2024. The Board of Directors expresses its appreciation to Dr. Castell for her service and contribution to the Agency during her tenure as Acting Chief Executive Officer.

JANAAC remains dedicated to promoting quality assurance and trade facilitation in Jamaica, the Caribbean and beyond through the delivery of technical training and accreditation services to laboratories, inspection and certification bodies across 11 CARICOM states.
