Chelsea FC have dismissed head coach Liam Rosenior just 106 days into his tenure.
Rosenior, who arrived from RC Strasbourg, managed 11 wins in 23 matches, but a run of poor results proved costly. A heavy defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion capped a worrying streak of five straight league losses without scoring, the club’s worst drought in over a century (1912), leaving them seventh in the Premier League.
With pressure mounting, Chelsea have turned to assistant coach Calum McFarlane as interim manager for the remainder of the season. His first test will be a FA Cup clash against Leeds United at Wembley.
The club is now exploring options for a permanent replacement, with names like Andoni Iraola, Marco Silva, and Edin Terzić all being considered.
