As Jamaica advances its vision to become the Sports Capital of the Caribbean and the Global South, the role of women’s sport must be central to the national conversation.

That focus will be brought to the forefront as Christina Hudson, Chairperson of Professional Women’s Football Jamaica Limited (PWFJL), joins the inaugural Made4Goal Jamaica Global Sports Summit as a keynote speaker, taking place June 29–30, 2026, at the University of Technology, Jamaica.

As Chairperson of the organisation responsible for the commercialisation and marketing of the Jamaica Women’s Premier League, Hudson has emerged as one of the country’s leading advocates for elevating women’s sport from participation to prosperity. Her leadership is helping to reshape the landscape of women’s football by building sustainable structures, attracting commercial investment and creating greater opportunities for female athletes to thrive on and off the field.

At a time when women’s sport is experiencing unprecedented global growth, Hudson represents a new generation of sports leaders who understand that the future of sport extends far beyond competition. It is about creating professional pathways, attracting investment, strengthening governance, building brands and ensuring that women have equal access to opportunities within the sports economy.

In addition to her work in football, Hudson is a respected executive at Stewart’s Automotive Group, where she has built a reputation for commercial leadership and strategic growth. She is also Co-Founder and Chairperson of the Kind Hearts Foundation, reflecting her commitment to community development and creating opportunities that empower Jamaicans. Her leadership has earned national recognition, including the Prime Minister’s Youth Award for outstanding service and leadership.

Her participation at the Summit comes at a pivotal moment as Jamaica seeks to build a sports economy that is inclusive, innovative and globally competitive. “Women’s sport is no longer simply about participation, it is about leadership, business, opportunity and economic impact. I commend Absolut Ventures Limited for taking on the bold and necessary task of bringing together the conversations that Jamaica has needed for years.

The Made4Goal Jamaica Global Sports Summit creates a platform where government, business, investors, sporting organisations and athletes can move beyond discussion and begin taking meaningful action to build Jamaica’s sports economy. I am honoured to be part of this historic movement and look forward to contributing to the dialogue that will shape the future of sport in our country,” said Christina Hudson.

The Made4Goal Jamaica Global Sports Summit is Jamaica’s first multidisciplinary sports business and investment platform, bringing together leaders from sport, government, tourism, education, technology, media, health, finance, manufacturing and the private sector to explore how sport can become a major engine for national development, investment and job creation.

Founder and Summit Director Alrick McKenzie believes Hudson’s contribution will add an important dimension to the national conversation. “Christina represents exactly the kind of visionary leadership Jamaica needs as we work to build a stronger and more sustainable sports industry. Her work in transforming the Jamaica Women’s Premier League demonstrates that with the right leadership, commercial thinking and strategic partnerships, women’s sport can become a powerful driver of economic growth, social impact and national pride. Her voice will help challenge, inspire and equip stakeholders to think differently about investing in the future of sport, particularly the immense opportunities that exist within the women’s game.”

Hudson will join an impressive roster of local and international speakers tackling some of the most pressing issues facing the industry, including sports investment, athlete development, governance, sports tourism, innovation, media, education, entrepreneurship and commercialisation.

The Summit is expected to attract leaders from more than 50 sporting disciplines, alongside investors, policymakers, corporate executives, educators and entrepreneurs who share a common vision of transforming Jamaica into a globally recognised sports business destination.

As Jamaica prepares to write the next chapter in its sporting history, leaders like Christina Hudson demonstrate that the country’s greatest opportunity lies not only in producing world- class athletes, but in building a world-class sports industry where women and men alike can contribute, lead and prosper.
