Citibank says it has introduced four new generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools designed to streamline tasks and enhance access to critical information across key areas, including compliance, risk, human resources and finance.
The new solutions—Citi Stylus, Citi Stylus Workspaces, Citi Assist, and Citi Squad—provide instant insights from documents in multiple formats, with advanced summarisation and comparison features.
“At Citi Jamaica, embracing generative AI is about more than technology—it’s about giving our people the right tools to deliver smarter, faster, and safer banking for our clients. This step reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation with responsibility,” said Citi country officer Eva Lewis.
Unlike traditional AI, which follows predefined rules, generative AI leverages advanced language models and neural networks to predict and generate original outcomes based on learned patterns.
To date, approximately 150,000 Citi employees across 51 jurisdictions have access to these tools, with plans to expand availability throughout 2025. The bank is confident that its adoption of generative AI will translate directly into faster, safer, and more personalised service.
By empowering employees with state-of-the-art technology, Citi says it is accelerating response times, enhancing transaction security through more sophisticated fraud detection, and delivering tailored financial solutions that better address client needs.
“For our institutional, corporate, public sector, and multinational clients, Citi’s adoption of generative AI translates directly into faster, safer, and more personalised service,” added Lewis.
