The Jamaica Meteorological Service says citizens can expect varying degrees of cloudiness, windy conditions and cooler temperatures this weekend thanks to the influence of a trough and low-level jet stream.

The Met Office, in its Saturday morning (January 25) forecast, advised that both atmospheric systems will remain in the general vicinity of Jamaica for the next several days.

Conditions begin with mostly cloudy skies across northern parishes with intermittent showers mainly across northeastern parishes, while it should be partly cloudy elsewhere.  Gusty winds and cooler temperatures are also forecast for the island, particularly across northern parishes and the hilly interior.

The maximum temperature expected for major cities Kingston and Montego Bay is 30 and 28 degrees Celcius, respectively.
