Safia Cooper has assumed the role of Managing Director of Pulse Investments Limited. This is a result of the resignation of Romae Gordon as Co-Managing Director and Company Secretary, effective March 31, 2025. 

However, she will remain a Director of the Company. Cooper is the daughter of Kingsley Cooper, founder of Pulse Investments.

IronRock Insurance Company has appointed a new  Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1, 2025. He is Christian Watt. Watt has been appointed as a Director of the company.

Sir Kenneth Hall retires from LASCO Distributors Board

LASCO Distributors Limited (LASD) is advising that Former Governor General, Sir Kenneth Hall, has retired from the Board of Directors. The resignation took effect March 31, 2025. 

Sir Kenneth was a member of the Audit & Risk Management Committee of Lasco. The company wishes to state that there were no accounting or auditing issues that have had any impact, whatsoever, on Sir Kenneth’s decision to retire from the Audit & Risk Management Committee

Johann Heaven appointed a director of JMMB Group. 

Co-founder of PROVEN Group Limited, Johann Heaven has been appointed to the Board of Directors of JMMB Group Limited.

His appointment took effect on April 4, 2025. Heaven currently serves as Group CEO of PROVEN Management Limited, the management company of the PROVEN Group. 

He brings to the JMMB Group over 25 years of experience in finance, planning, and investment functions. Heaven is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder, holds the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification, and has a Master’s Degree in Finance from the University of London.

Management appointment at Paramount Trading

Finance and auditing stalwart, Bruno Loffler has been appointed Group Head of Finance & Administration at Paramount Trading (Jamaica) Limited, effective March 1, 2025.

Loffler brings over three decades of experience in finance, auditing and supply chain management to Paramount. A highly accomplished finance executive, Loffler has held senior commercial and financial management positions across various industries, including manufacturing, distribution and retail.
