Ding Dong Ravers, Ziggy Marley among celebrities to congratulate DJ Khaled for receiving star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

DJ Khaled, whose real name is Khaled Mohammed Khaled, received an outpouring of love and support from both Jamaican and non-Jamaican celebrities, as his name was enshrined on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday (April 11).

The record executive and producer, who has worked with some of the biggest names in the music industry, was joined by Jay Z, Diddy, Fat Joe and Teyanna Taylor as his star was unveiled on the famous stretch of sidewalk.

The platinum hip hop star, who was honoured with the 2,719th star was also accompanied by his wife Nicole Tuck and their two children – Asahd Tuck Khaled, 5, and Aalam Khaled, 2.

Other celebrities showed their support for the DJ via his Instagram comment section. Jamaican reggae artiste Ziggy Marley, whose comment is now pinned, celebrated the star, saying, “Bless Up 🔥🔥🔥.”

Jamaican Grammy award winning singer Gramps Morgan also showed the star some love. “SO PROUD BREDDA SALUTE 💪👑🙏❤️ ,” he said.

“Congratulations my g well deserved 👑👑👑🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 ,” Ding Dong Ravers wrote.

American rappers Busta Rhymes, Ludacris, Rich The Kid and Big Sean as well as American singer Mariah Carey, were also among those who showed the DJ some love.

Khaled earned his spot on the Hollywood Walk of Fame after nearly two decades of releasing platinum and multi-platinum singles and albums.

The 46-year-old first gained prominence in the 1990s as a radio host and, in 2008, he founded the We The Best record label. The star has for decades worked with dancehall, reggae and R&B acts like Buju Banton, Barrington Levy, Rihanna, Capleton and Beyonce.
