Born as a way to recognise social media’s impact on global communication, is World Social
Media, celebrated on June 30.
“Everyone uses social media, daily; it’s how we connect with people all over the world in a simple and
fast way. This day was launched by Mashable, who is known to use social media to connect various
cultures, movements, and fandoms, which is why they wanted a day to celebrate it,” shared ESIROM
Social Media Manager Chelsea Jameson.
The digital company will be exploring the day under their theme, ‘The Media Verse’.
The Media Verse will, with local industry leaders and media personalities, explore the power of social media, its constant evolution, and how it transforms businesses across the globe.
Via a live stream that can be found at www.socialmediaday2022.com, the Media Verse will feature two panels.

The featured guests will be Shelby Bradshaw (a Digital creator with an mass of 28.9k followers), Simon Tomlinson (video creator and creator behind Tomo TV), Hitswes (content creator, host of Tabs Project, Vlogger) and Josh Andy (digital creator and Tik Toker).
Interestingly, all speakers are under 30 and have amassed great achievements in the actual media verse that is social media.
“We’ll be using the hashtags #SocialMediaDay2022 #EsiromSMDay2022 throughout the day and during
the Media Verse and will also be announcing a Digital challenge during the stream for contestants to
enter for a chance to win a TV, ipad or airpods,” shared Alex Morrissey, director of ESIROM Limited.
