Express Canteen Services, the canteen concessionaire for Mona Prep since 2018, has adopted the school’s invitational track meet competition as the official sponsor.
Through this partnership, anticipation is high that the competition will unearth the next generation of track stars as well as provide a competitive avenue for all athletes to prepare for the upcoming JISA Prep Champs.
Throughout the years, Express Canteen Services has dedicated much of its corporate social responsibility program to youth development through sports.
“We believe that sports are a critical driver of national development, and we will continue to facilitate the emergence of world class athletes through our sponsorship of competitions such as the ones put on by JISA and Mona Prep. We have had a long history of giving back to the community and have in recent times focused on sports as an area of high impact.,” the company said.
“It’s by no accident that we have positioned our corporate social responsibility initiatives in line with sports; doing this, the Express Canteen believes, will reaffirm the value of sports as an institution for socio-economic change,” it added.
The concessionaire further said that it is proud to be associated with competitions such as the invitational track meet.
“We at Express see ourselves as not just a concessionaire in schools, but as a nutritional partner that wants to be part of the school community and play our part in how we shape the lives of our young boys and girls for the future. We believe that giving back through the avenue of sport augurs well for the furtherance of nation growth and development. Our sponsorship is a signal to Mona Prep, which has excelled not just in the classroom, but also in track and field. We laud their initiative and wish for them and all the participating schools a successful track meet, which we believe will be a good precursor to the upcoming JISA Prep Champs,” continued Express Canteen.
The company also saluted the Mona Prep community, which is celebrating 60 years in 2025, and is extremely proud of the school’s “bravery to host and execute such a meet of this quality to ensure that all our students have an avenue to showcase not only their talents but also their progress”.
