
Patrons are gearing up for the exciting return of the Sashi musical festival set to take place on Labour Day weekend (May 23-26) at Plantation Cove in Ocho Rios.
After 22-year hiatus, Sashi returns to St Ann with an impressive festival experience including a fashion show (May 23), a sound clash (May 24), a concert (May 25) and beach party (May 26).
The fashion will feature designers such as UZURI International, Earl ‘Biggy’ Turner, Neahlis, Cooyah, Pebbles, The Fashion Cartel and others.
On May 24, patrons will get a taste of the Jamaican sound clash culture with Sashi Synergy.
The sound clash competition will feature sounds such as Bass Odyssey, Metro Media with music selectors such as Sky Juice, Tony Matterhorn and Ricky Trooper.

Music lovers will certainly enjoy Sashi Live concert which is set to feature both local and international talents.
Headlining the international acts are American singer and songwriter Ne-Yo, rapper Busta Rhymes, Keyshia Cole and Jadakiss.
Local top liners include Bounty Killer, Valiant, Tommy Lee, Kraff and Skeng, among others.
The event will culminate on May 26 with a beach party featuring DJs such as Coppershot, DJ Lava and DJ Crazy Neil.

- Sashi was first held in 1999. This year, the festival is celebrating 25 years.
- The festival was last held in Oracabessa, St Mary, in 2002.
- Sashi has showcased several international talents such as P Diddy, Wyclef Jean, Busta Rhymes, Lil Kim, Eve. Sashi musical festival is known for showcasing the most international acts in Jamaica.
- More than 15,000 patrons attended last staging of Sashi.
- Music producer Horatio Hamilton is the founder and CEO of Sashi Entertainment.
