Since announcing her social media hiatus in February, Dancehall DJ Spice, amid constant controversy, has remained out of the spotlight and appears to be spending her time closer to God.

The star, who revealed that she isn’t as strong as she once was, told her fanbase that she would be taking a break from social media.

“Besties I’m taking a break from social media, I’m not as strong as I used to be. In fact, I’m weak and tired of being a target. Please pray for me while I pray for myself. I love you all, until the death of me 💙💙💙🙏🙏🙏 (sic),” the star wrote.

It appears that Spice has been praying for herself. Tagged in a video story post, Spice, who reposted the short clip, was in attendance at a Sunday church service at the Relentless Church located in Atlanta.

The Relentless Church was founded in 2018 by John & Aventer Gray, with locations in Greenville, South Carolina and Metropolitan Atlanta Georgia.

The Go Down Deh hitmaker appeared to be out with some of her Love and Hip Hop crew. Yandy Smith-Harris, who uploaded the video, also tagged her husband and actor, Mendeecees Harris, the pair’s son Mendeecees Harris Jr, American television personality Karlie Redd, public figure and model Chandra Davis aka London Deelishis and television actor, Maggie Carrie.

Prior to announcing her hiatus, the DJ was the victim of a few public disputes, involving Minister Marion Hall, formerly known as Lady Saw, and self-proclaimed, Dancehall Pastor Stephen Blake. These latest disputes are what could have possibly led to Spice reaching the breaking point and announcing her hiatus.

Minister Hall, via an Instagram live, made jabs at the Jim Screechy DJ along with other ladies of dancehall. Spice, in her frustration, responded with a series of Instagram video posts.

On the heels of the Lady Saw controversy, Blake released a collaboration between the pair without the star’s permission, infuriating the entrepreneur.

“Stephen you claim to be a man of God. I asked you privately not to release this unfinished Demo that we started working on from 2020 and you still continue to clout chase because of your own church sister,” she wrote.

Spice was nominated for her first Grammy Award in the Best Reggae album category for her debut album 10.

The awards ceremony is set to take place on April 3 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
