Self-proclaimed ‘dancehall Cinderella’, Ishawna, is promising the masses two exciting new songs and the release of her highly anticipated music video with international singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran which has elicited over two million streams on Spotify.

While the popular songbird teases her upcoming songs, it’s been two years since the controversial dancehall artiste graced Reggae Sumfest.

In one of the most memorable performances on Friday night, during her set, the Equal Rights artiste introduced a life-sized cut-out cosplaying dancehall entertainer Bounty Killer, which highlighted and tackled the stereotypes surrounding oral sex in Jamaica, to which many seemed fascinated by and applauded her for her brave and comedic act.

“I enjoy performing and I enjoy interacting with my fans and I love everything about what I do. I love my music and it’s a really great feeling after almost two years in COVID lockdown,” she told Our Today during an interview.

On the upcoming music and music video with Ed Sheeran, Ishawna told Our Today: “I am coming with two new songs: Promising legacy and Somebody. It’s Ishawna, it’s fab and sexy, and it’s just what my fans have been craving so you know I have to give it to them.”
