Jamaicans looking to start the new year on a healthy and purposeful note are being invited to lace up their sneakers for the 2026 Race for Hope 5K & Kids Fun Run, with the JN Group coming on board as title sponsor.
The event will take place on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the Hope Botanical Gardens in Kingston, bringing together families, fitness enthusiasts and community groups for a morning of exercise and goodwill.
Participants can choose between a 5K walk/run or the Kids Fun Run, with warm-up activities scheduled for 6:00 a.m. ahead of the 6:30 a.m. start time.
Beyond the fun and fitness, organisers say the race has a meaningful purpose. Proceeds will support the redevelopment of the Hope Royal Botanical Gardens and assist women entrepreneurs affected by Hurricane Melissa, blending recreation with community recovery.
Registration is now open at www.runningeventsja.com, with fees set at J$3,000 for individuals, J$2,500 per person for group or corporate teams of 20 or more, and J$1,500 for the Kids Fun Run for children aged six to 12.
Early birds can also take advantage of a special discount, with the first 100 persons to register via Gustazos qualifying for reduced rates.
With a scenic venue, a family-friendly atmosphere and a cause rooted in conservation and recovery, the 2026 Race for Hope promises a refreshing way to kick off the year.
