Jamaican football player Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw has been named Manchester City player of the season.
Shaw who plays forward for Manchester City scored her 50th goal in the team’s 3-2 win over Everton in the finals of the Barclays Women’s Super League game on Saturday (May 27).
Manchester City made the announcement in an Instagram post on Saturday (May 27) and described Shaw’s performance as ‘incredible’.
In an interview with the club on Saturday (May 27), the football player credited her team for her accomplishment and greater success next season.
“I am a person who always reflect on my performance and see how I can get better, my focus is to try to help the team. Yeah I am scoring goals at the moment but I am more than just the goals but I just try to do as much as I can to help the team going, so hopefully next year I can keep scoring goals,” she shared.
