LeBron James turned back the clock with a standout performance as the Los Angeles Lakers took control of their play off series with a 101-94 win over the Houston Rockets.

With key scorers Luka Dončić and Austin Reaves sidelined through injury, the 41 year old stepped up, delivering 28 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists to guide his team to victory.

Houston welcomed back Kevin Durant, who led his side with 23 points but struggled to maintain his impact after halftime.

The result gives the Lakers a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series.
