
Miami and Miami Beach transforms into a capital of the world’s music scene in March with an extensive offering of an extraordinary lineup of performances across genres before culminating in the electronic dance extravaganza of Miami Music Week.
“Miami and Miami Beach has always been a melting pot of global sounds, but March truly showcases our city’s musical diversity. From the waterfront jazz at Montreux to the electronic beats of Ultra, visitors experience a month-long celebration of music that captures Miami’s vibrant spirit. We’re not just a destination for sunshine and beaches—Miami is a place where music lovers can discover established legends and tomorrow’s breakthrough artists within our city,” said a spokesperson for the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau.
The month begins with the Montreux Jazz Festival Miami (February 28-March 2) at the waterfront Hangar at Regatta Harbour. The three-day music celebration features headliners Jon Batiste & Friends (Friday), Janelle Monáe presenting her unique blend of R&B, pop and funk (Saturday) and “La Descarga” Afro-Cuban jam session with Cimafunk, Alfredo Rodriguez, and more (Sunday).
Jazz in the Gardens Music Fest happens March 8-9 when the Hard Rock Stadium, in Miami Gardens welcomes the 18th annual celebration of hip-hop, R&B, and jazz. Jazz in the Gardens boasts an impressive lineup that includes Jamaica’s own King of the Dancehall, Beenie Man as well as Deochi, Ms. Lauryn Hill with Wyclef Jean and YG Marley, Busta Rhymes, 1980s R&B legends New Edition, Hip-hop icons including Slick Rick, Ja Rule, and Fat Joe, and 7 seven-time Grammy winner Toni Braxton.

The Tony Award-winning MJ: The Musical brings The King of Pop, Michael Jackson’s legendary career to life at The Arsht Center in downtown Miami (March 18-23).

Another music legend is celebrated on March 21 when acclaimed pianist Jason Moran pays tribute to Duke Ellington with the Frost School of Music Big Band At the University of Miami.
The innovative rapper Tyler the Creator brings his Chromakopia Tour to the Kaseya Centre on March 24 with what promises to be an immersive show featuring his dynamic stage presence and tracks from his extensive catalogue.

The month reaches its peak as Miami becomes the epicentre of electronic dance music with the Miami Music Week & Ultra Music Festival March 25-30. The week features over 200 music events spanning every subgenre from house to techno to dubstep, taking over clubs, pools, and venues citywide throughout the destination.
The grand finale, Ultra Music Festival returns to Bayfront Park (March 28-30) with superstars including Skrillex, Tiësto ,Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren and Carl Cox, commanding multiple stages at the world’s largest electronic music festival.
