This year’s inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame have been officially announced.

Musicians become eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame 25 years after the release of their first recording. Over a thousand musicians, historians, and professionals in the music industry cast their votes for the nominees.

The categories include: Performer, Musical Excellence Award, Musical Influence Award, and the Ahmet Ertegun Award.
