Argentinian striker Lionel Messi and Inter Miami FC brought their Major League Soccer (MLS) Cup celebration straight to the White House on Thursday (March 6), following their 2025 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps.
The team didn’t arrive empty-handed, presenting President Donald Trump with a flurry of gifts, including a team jersey with No. 47, a custom soccer ball commemorating their championship, and a limited edition Inter Miami pink Tudor watch engraved with Trump’s name.
It was Messi’s first visit to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., a moment highlighted by Trump, who also mentioned that his youngest son, Baron, is a big fan of the soccer star.
