
Popular social media influencer and dancehall artiste Queenie on Wednesday (October 6) announced that her daughter, Rochelle, had passed away.
Queenie made the revelation in a video clip posted to her social media on Wednesday morning.
The influencer shared that she got to “spent the last 24 hours with her” after Rochelle called her on Saturday (October 2) saying that she was waiting on her to get back to England as Queenie was in Jamaica at the time.
To this Queenie said she responded: “Mi a come.”
Queenie said she departed Jamaica on Monday (October 4) and landed in England on Tuesday (October 5) just in time to hear her daughter’s final words.
“Mommy, I am sorry,” were Rochelle’s last words to her mother.
According to Queenie, her daughter lost her battle with cancer as “she couldn’t hold out no longer”.
Queenie content that her daughter was baptised prior to her death
A grief-stricken Queenie said while it was incredibly painful for a mother to lose her child, she was content to know that her daughter was baptised.
“She baptised to give her life to the Lord, and she’s at a better place,” Queenie said.
Rochelle was Queenie’s first born child and was 33 years old at the time of her death.
According to Queenie, her daughter passed away at home in her bed.
